When Howie started his own business, following in his father's footsteps, he continued their tradition of support for community programs and charities. Howie recognizes that there are many worthy charities and while he would like to support them all, he knows that it's impossible. He chooses to support Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation because it meets his important standards: his donations have a direct impact helping to transform the lives of children and it's a cause that touches his heart.

Not only does Howie support CSHF by sponsoring events like the Walk n’ Roll and volunteering his time, he also helps to raise awareness with promotions at his aquarium store, Aquaridise, in East Brunswick, NJ. With a prominent in-store display, customers are given the opportunity to donate to Children's Specialized and in return they receive a Fish Certificate gift card to Aquaridise. "For such an important and worthwhile cause, I want to help in any way I can. I tell my family, friends and customers, you can't take it with you. The more successful you are in life, the more you should be giving back."
