MEET NIKOS, THE 2025 CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK NEW JERSEY CHAMPION
Nikos defied the odds from birth. Diagnosed with spina bifida before he was even born, doctors predicted Nikos would never walk or perform basic, everyday tasks independently. Determined, his parents soughta second opinion.
After surgery to close the hole in his spine, Nikos began physical therapy at Children’s Specialized Hospital. He progressed from using a gait trainer to walking with braces and a walker, and now he’s meetingall developmental milestones.
Now six years old, Nikos loves sports and playing withhis brothers. His achievements are miraculous, and he’s excited to be the 2025 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals New Jersey Champion.
