Edward J. McKenna & Mark Montenero Named Outstanding Philanthropists by AFP-NJ
Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees members, Edward J. McKenna and Mark Montenero, have received the 2023 Outstanding Philanthropists Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, New Jersey Chapter for their outsanding contributions to the Transforming Lives capital campaign.
Renovations at CSH Mountainside Long Term Care Unit Revealed
In late May, we reached another milestone in the Transforming Lives 2.0 capital campaign, unveiling the renovations at our original hospital in Mountainside. The new state-of-the-art pediatric long term care unit features upgraded patient rooms and the addition of 14 new beds that will allow us to care for a total of 64 children. Fully funded by donations, this renovated space is a testament to the power our donors have to change children's lives.
Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation Awarded $25,000 Children's Hospital Play Grant from The Toy Foundation
Children's Specialized Hospital is one of 19 children's hospitals selected for grant to bring the healing power of play to pediatric patients. This $25,000 award will support our important Activity Connection program that offers recreational and social activities at little or no cost to children with special needs.

NJBIZ announced Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH) Foundation as the winner of the 2022 Non-Profit Business of the Year (1-100 employee category) at the 17th annual award ceremony. NJBIZ named seven companies as a 2022 Business of the Yea from a pool of 40 finalists that have made significant contributions to help the state's business community grow and prosper.
CSH Opens First Outpatient Center in Monmouth County, NJ
Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation celebrates an important milestone in the Transforming Lives 2.0 capital campaign as the doors CSH's newest outpatient center located in Eatontown were opened to patients. The state-of-the-art facility is the first CSH location in Monmouth County and will enhance access to expert, specialized care for local children and families.

On Saturday, November 20th, Children's Specialized Hospital celebrated the opening of its new outpatient center in Union, NJ marking the launch of an $89 million initiative that aims to expand access to specialized care to more than 500,000 children in the New Jersey and NY Metro area. Seeking to raise $45 million, the Transforming Lives 2.0 campaign will play a vital role in the expansion of CSH's services to communities where children currently do not have access to the specialized care they need.
