Mark Montenero Named Chairman of Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees

Mountainside, NJ - Children's Specialized Hospital (CSH) Foundation is proud to announce Mark Montenero as the new Chairman of its Board of Trustees. A celebrated business leader and philanthropist, Montenero steps into the role following the impactful five-year tenure of outgoing Chair, Leslie Logan Taylor.

Montenero, President of Autoland Toyota Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, demonstrates a strong commitment to the health and well-being of New Jersey residents, serving on several boards in the RWJBarnabas Health system. In addition to his service on the CSH Foundation Board for 12 years, Montenero also serves on the board of Community Medical Center in his hometown of Toms River. Now, as Chairman of the CSH Foundation Board of Trustees, he will serve a concurrent term on the Children’s Specialized Hospital Board.

During his tenure on CSH Foundation Board, Montenero has held many leadership positions, including Vice Chair. Under his leadership as co-chair of the Transforming Lives 2.0 Capital Campaign, CSH Foundation raised a record $45 million, enabling the expansion of critical pediatric services across New Jersey. Montenero’s commitment to his community and philanthropic nature have earned him numerous accolades, including the AFP-NJ Outstanding Philanthropists Award.

“Mark is an invaluable part of our Foundation and we are thrilled to see him take on this leadership role,” said Alissa Memoli, President and Chief Development Officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. “His passion for improving the lives of children and his relentless drive to make a difference inspire us all. With Mark as Chairman, we are confident the Foundation will continue to reach new heights.”

Outgoing Chair, Leslie Logan Taylor, reflected on her five-years leading the Board, saying, “Serving as the Board Chair for an organization with a mission to fund the requirements of children with special health needs is an important trust. I am deeply grateful to my fellow Trustees and the generosity of our supporters who worked with me to honor that trust and advance our goals. Mark has the robust support of the board and will bring valuable insight and vision to the role.”

Montenero, a lifelong advocate for community support, shared his deep commitment to CSH Foundation’s mission, “I am deeply honored to serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. This role presents incredible opportunity to make an even greater impact—not only for the children and families we serve today, but also for countless others who will turn to CSH for vital care in the future. I look forward to collaborating with the Board and working in concert with hospital and foundation leadership to advance our mission during my tenure as Chairman.”

Montenero’s extensive community involvement includes leadership roles with the NJ Coalition of Automotive Retailers, the Greater NY Toyota Dealer Association, Toyota Motor Company National Dealer Council, and numerous charitable organizations. His dedication to the well-being of others aligns seamlessly with the mission of Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation.
